Wow this is big news. This is one of the reasons that Timothy Rogers wanted to promote AuroraSim so much. Multiple attachments are important to many furries.
Personally it bugged me. I am used to doing things a certain way. If I want to change my hair, for instance, I just drop the new one on me and the old one comes off automatically. With multiple attachments I would end up wearing two hairs. Not that that is a major issue, it's just a procedure I had to change.
It's nice to be able to wear hair and a hat both on your skull though.
And I love that they are donating the code back so that other grids can use it. Personally I think that Avination is making some good PR moves lately.
