Eventually, VCMS management might be built right into the grid platform itself.
So, for example, the Wordpress management panels are simply a subset of a Wordpress site, in a password-protected area.
We might have VCMS management areas be regions on a grid, invisible to ordinary users, that can be visited only by grid administrators. Inside, you'd have a virtual command center. Including a giant table with a map of the entire grid, or parts of it, allowing you to bend over it (with your virtual reality rig) and move regions around with your hands, or watch little avatars moving around like ants. Tiny little avatars that you can pick up and squish with your fingers if they misbehave.
Consoles would allow access to in-word assets, users, inventories and inventories. Customization panels would allow for easy landscape updates or weather controls.
And I forgot to mention NPC management!
How can a grid management system be complete without greeter NPCs, tour guide NPCs, baristas, DJs, bartenders, receptionists and groundskeepers??? And pool boys. And hunky lifeguards.
