Its definitely best not to have the snacks in the house! I've been on a similar diet for 5 years, and feel so much better, and lost the middle age shape i was developing. I now also take one morning or pm out a week for a 5 to 10 mile walk - besides the physical health benefits my mind feels wonderful for 3 or so days afterwards (happy and sharp), an unexpected bonus.
We have all this tech and software at our disposal, yet being orgainsed is still hard, I tend to run my email in a similar way utilising google, but had not thought to use coloured stars, good idea. I also find it helpful to make a refined diary plan the night before for tomorrow leaving a couple of free hours for the unexpected, or just to enjoy if nothing crops up. Now if i could just resist the hypergate I would get even more done!
