Re: 5 reasons grids should avoid BitCoin

The enrichment of early adopters isn't unfair, think about it- someone had to actually "make" the currency in the first place. Was the gold rush unfair because some people made it to Alaska first and made a stake on some remote salmon stream with lots of gold? And then worked hard to pan it out? People who "mine" (IE: create bitcoin) don't do it free out of thin air either- they spend money. Lots of money. On electricity and high power computational rigs. They didn't get it for free. Additionally, you can get bitcoin the same way a person who is born (with no cash) eventually accumulates wealth in this world: you earn it. You can sell things for bitcoin, objects or services. You can get a job that pays in bitcoin. There are plenty of graphic designers and programers in the bitcoin economy who trade their services for bitcoin. Those who started early and have a large number of coins frequently pay in coins- further spreading the economy.

It's not unfair that someone came up with the idea first. If you want coins, which undoubtably will go up in value, contribue to the economy. After all, in the gold rush it wasn't the 'miners' who made the fortunes. It was the people who serviced the miner economy that got really rich.
