The problem here with this article is Maria Korolov has been educated with 'old skool' economics. Bitcoin is a completely new invention. The economics of the old world mostly no longer apply. I had difficulty grasping the concept myself at first, because it is so mind-boggling new.
I paid for a magazine using Bitcoins a few days ago. My god, how easy was that. So simple.
Now before Bitcoin I would of used Paypal. Yes, I know the amount was tiny and in the giant world of Paypal, microscopic. But that's not the point. The point is, one transaction has been taken away from Paypal!
Now lets fast forward 10/15 years from now. How many more transactions will Paypal lose....
If I was Paypal or Western Union, I would be very, very, very worried indeed.
