I love the Noun Project icons! Thanks! Plus -- many are CC0 licensed for easy use!

Thanks :) And I'd certainly be willing to give it a try... but only in June. The content creators currently working on "our" grid have a deadline for a project to be finished in May, and they'll kill...

View ArticleRe: PixieViewer puts OpenSim in browser
Made a visit there a few days ago. The avatars look quite different. Will it work with "only" an additional module, or will the OpenSIM server's engine need more changes, like RealXtend did in the Past ?

Alex -- Can LL avoid registration if the Linden Dollar is no longer an open loop currency? Say, if you can't redeem it for real money -- but can only use it to buy stuff-in world? Like, say, gold coins...

Maria,I think so, because all FinCEN cares about is convertible virtual currency - the one that has real $$ value. So if it becomes not redeemable for cash they can avoid registration. In that case...

View ArticleRe: New registration requirements may apply to Second Life, BitCoin miners
It is not so much operating as an exchanger. Person A convering btc to cash at a registered exchange is ok. Person A selling btc to person B requires person A to register. That is the way I understand it

Well, I guess LL will register and do whatever it takes for if they don't, one way or another, I think they wont have much of an economy left when the dust settles. Regardless how the big Merchants and...

You're right -- that should say "new regulatory guidance" instead.
